I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where did you purchase them?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
How much do they run?
Back in April, I managed to get them for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their design features.
How does the sizing run?
They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me.
They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
Are they comfortable?
They required golden goose super-star minimal break-in time..
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose are just on another level. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Next-level.
Are they worth it?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also look great.

How comfy are they?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they help with airflow. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in fake leather. Plus, they’re already distressed so your feet just adjust easily.
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
